Student Club
The existence of this body within the school’s educational system responds to the responsible awareness of fulfilling clear and essential educational objectives:
- To promote the necessary spirit of solidarity beyond the strictly academic context.
- To provide students with a framework for the development of their abilities and personal concerns.
- To instill the necessary appeal to achieve the self-fulfillment of their activities and to encourage leadership responsibility and the accountable management of their own actions.
- To strengthen the relationship between teachers and students beyond the classroom, thus enhancing the essential educational balance, which should be understood as the connection between teaching and human development.
- To assume its essential role in participating in school life, feeling responsible for its work.
Alumni Club
The coordination of alumni aims primarily to maintain the relationship between the graduate student and their school. To achieve this, the coordinator organizes engaging activities and keeps them informed about all aspects that may be of interest.
At SEK Guatemala School, in addition to the role of the coordinator, there is the Alumni Club, an organization soon to be created so that the alumni themselves can collaborate in the organization of activities, thus responding to their own interests. This increases the likelihood of success for the events organized. The Club will be composed of a President, a Vice President, a Secretary, and three Board Members.
The activities expected to be organized include:
- The annual dinner for all alumni.
- Sports and recreational festivals, mainly including men’s and women’s football competitions, men’s basketball, and traditional games.
- Commemorative activities for the 5th and 10th anniversaries since graduating from school.
