Dining Menu

SEK Guatemala International School – Guatemala

Commitment to Nutrition and Healthy Habits

As you know, the commitment of the SEK International Institution goes beyond academic and value-based education, offering comprehensive education at all levels, including health, hygiene, and nutritional habits. The menus are supervised by a nutritionist and a food technologist.

Each month, the school provides a detailed menu of the meals that will be served daily to the students. It is important to review and monitor the intake of these meals, especially for younger students, to complement the school’s efforts in promoting a complete and balanced diet.

Special Diets
In addition to the regular menu, soft and low-calorie diets will be available for students who require them. The consumption of these diets will be authorized exclusively by the school’s infirmary. To arrange this, parents or guardians must submit the necessary medical records, certificates, and requests to this department in advance.

The health department conducts studies on the most suitable school diet, ensuring that all menus maintain the ideal proportions of their components.

Importance of Nutrition and Learning in the Dining Hall
We emphasize the significant role that a proper and balanced diet plays in the growth and development stages of students. Additionally, the school recognizes that the dining hall is a space for learning, where students should:

  • Practice universal table manners.
  • Develop self-control.
  • Foster kindness and good behavior with their peers at the table.
