SEK International School Guatemala is an authorized Primary Years Programme (PYP) school of the International Baccalaureate®, and the first school in Guatemala to implement this program. The PYP is designed for students in their early years of education and focuses on developing a holistic education based on inquiry, critical thinking, and an understanding of the world around them.

At SEK International School Guatemala, students can enroll from the age of two, starting in our Preschool level, and continue their education through high school. It all begins with the application for a place, followed by a one-on-one interview to get to know the family and explain our educational philosophy. SEK International School Guatemala teaches primarily in Spanish and English, following a bilingual educational model. Students progressively acquire a command of English that allows them to reach an advanced level, complementing their education with communicative, cultural, and academic skills.

Yes, and they are one of the most special aspects of studying at a SEK school.
